Galatians 1:1–10

Where did Paul get his authority to teach the gospel of Christ if he wasn’t one of the original 12 disciples of Christ? In his introduction in the letter to the churches in Galatia, Paul explains why he has the right to teach the truth about God and rebuke those who are deserting the faith by adding to it. He, in a sense, “pulls rank” to condemn false teachers who confused Christians with a different gospel than the one they were taught. But is this just an ego-trip of Paul’s or is it necessary to understand the gospel? Watch Galatians Field Study 2 as Rhome van Dyck teaches us that the gospel of Christ that Paul preaches is a non-negotiable.
