Galatians 1:11–24
Are you feeling angry today? If anyone ever had the right to be angry, it was the apostle Paul. In the letter to the Galatians, we read Paul’s response to false accusations about the gospel message he preached to the Gentiles. It seems like this message was too good to be true: God forgives all our sins in Jesus Christ. All that is necessary for salvation is belief in Him. Nothing more, nothing less. But we all have a tendency to tinker with this simple truth, adding our own requirements to it. This is what happened in the churches in Galatia, and it infuriated Paul with righteous indignation. Watch Galatians Field Study 3 as Rhome van Dyck takes us through Paul’s reaction to false accusations about his authority to teach and why adding to the good news of the gospel really isn’t good news at all.
