The Bible begins its story with the account of how God created all things. With humanity as his crowning achievement, this first epoch extends from the very beginning of time until roughly 2000 B.C. The goodness of God’s creation is contracted by the unbelievable destruction of sin. The first sin of Adam and Eve and the first murder of one of their sons again another all point to the immediate need for a savior. God reveals his constant grace for his image bearers by clothing, protecting, and even starting over with Noah and his family.
