How does Christ’s kingdom continue after His ascension?

Three ideas that hold the lesson together
01
Promise fulfilled
Pentecost continues the prophetic hope that God would pour out His Spirit on His people.
02
Power for witness
The Spirit equips the church to testify to Jesus across boundaries.
03
A new covenant community
Gifts, holiness, generosity, and shared life display the kingdom’s presence.
WHY IT MATTERS
Live as a Spirit-formed witness
Pentecost means the mission of the risen King is not sustained by human enthusiasm. God Himself dwells among His people and supplies what they need to speak, serve, endure, and love.
This makes every congregation more than a voluntary association. The Spirit gathers diverse people into one body, gives gifts for the common good, and turns ordinary believers toward the world Christ came to redeem.
